Junior Structural CAD Technician
Location: Oakham, Rutland

A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for a young ambitious Junior CAD Technician to become part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Oakham, Rutland. We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part of a small design team, providing design and technical drawing support on projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for our client base. We are looking to pay a competitive salary for this role, in addition to offering a wide range of benefits.

To be considered for this Junior Structural CAD Technician role you will: 

• Hold a BTEC level in construction or similar related subject
• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Junior CAD Technician
• Have experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• Produce high quality details in AutoCAD delivering good standards of draughtsmanship
• Have aspirational desire for self-improvement and ambition to become a valuable member of the team to ensure the future growth and success of the business
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key responsibilities of this Junior Structural CAD Technician role include but not limited to: 

• Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
• Liaise closely with engineers and technicians to ensure accurate drawing representation
• Carry out steel and concrete layout detailing under supervision
• Update and revise previous drawings
