Structural CAD Technician
Location: Oakham, Rutland

A fantastic opportunity is immediately available for an ambitious and driven Structural CAD Technician to become a leading part of a highly regarded, independent engineering consultancy based in Oakham, Rutland. We are looking to welcome the successful applicant to play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of projects delivered across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors and have developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality work for its client base. We are looking to pay a highly competitive salary for this role, in addition to offering a wide range of benefits. 

To be considered for this Structural CAD Technician role you will: 

• Hold either an ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a consultancy-based role.
• Have experience working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry
• Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD with proven track record in delivering high standards of draughtsmanship
• Experience with Revit is desirable though not essential
• Have a clean driving licence and use of car
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key responsibilities of this Structural CAD Technician role include but not limited to: 

• Play an important part in the detailing and modelling of a wide range of building structures projects
• Liaise closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation
• Aid the development of more junior team members  
• Carry out steel and concrete layout drawings
• Reinforcement detailing and scheduling
• Aid the development of more junior team members
• Attending Design team meetings
